VIGO is recruiting a full-time Principal BMS Engineer for a growing Smart Buildings client across the South East and London. This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced BMS professional who takes pride in service delivery, customer relationships, and technical excellence.

Role Overview
In this role, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of customers, delivering high-quality BMS service while exceeding contractual requirements. You will operate in a field-based position with real responsibility, working closely with customers to resolve issues, improve system performance, and identify future opportunities.
The role suits someone confident working independently, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Taking ownership of and leading your customer base
Delivering against tailored service contracts
Identifying and resolving operational BMS issues
Producing clear and accurate service visit reports
Collaborating with account management and administration teams
Identifying upgrades, improvements, energy savings, and repair opportunities
Supporting energy and enhancement project opportunities
Participating in the call-out rota and supporting team activity
Actively engaging in training and professional development
The Ideal Candidate
Strong background in BMS engineering
Experience with Trend, Tridium, EcoStruxure, and legacy systems
Proven experience in a customer-facing field service role
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
Self-motivated with a flexible approach
Full UK driving licence
